The Bolterfly is an enemy in Alice: Madness Returns. It appears similar to a dragonfly, as flying bolts with wings. They can latch onto Alice, and the only way she can shake them off is by dodging. When they appear, there are several hives which must be taken out or else their swarm will never disappear. When they die they make a sound similar to glass shattering.

TriviaEdit

• A different version of the Bolterfly can be seen fluttering around the Vale of Tears, resembling a nut with wings. Alice cannot interact with it, as it is merely one of several background creatures. It may be a visual pun on 'Nutterfly'.
