The music needed to be other-worldly and creepy, but not at all modern sounding.
— Chris Vrenna, The Making of Alice

Chris Vrenna is an American musician, producer, engineer, remixer, songwriter, and programmer. He is best known for playing drums in the industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails from 1989 until 1997, and as the founder of the collaboration band Tweaker. He is also the current drummer of American rock band Marilyn Manson.

Throughout his career, Vrenna has produced and composed music for various video games, including the entire score for the 2000 title American McGee's Alice, with the help of guitarist Mark Blasquez and vocalist Jessicka Addams of Jack Off Jill and Scarling.

Vrenna also produced a music piece called "Wasteland" for the 2011 video game Alice: Madness Returns, the sequel to American McGee's Alice.
