Nurse Cratchet is a character in Alice: Madness Returns seen in Alice Liddell's hallucination in which she returns to Rutledge Asylum.

Alice: Madness Returns Edit

Nurse Cratchet is seen in Rutledge Asylum. Alice was in her care and was assisted frequently by the Superintendent's nephews. Nurse Cratchet abuses Alice and allows her thugs to deal the damage. She is seen with Dr. Heironymous Q. Wilson, speaking about the state of the room in nonsensical gibberish. She, along with the orderlies taking on the appearance Tweedledum and Tweedledee, appear in flash-backs of Alice's time in Rutledge including times when Alice had leeches put on her and was trepanned. In a deleted scene, she and the orderlies are present when Alice is given electric shock therapy.

Trivia Edit

• In cut audio footage of the game, it is revealed Nurse Cratchet took no care whatsoever in her hygiene, but was strict on "disciplining"  Alice's mind.
• She might have been inspired, at least partially, by Nurse Ratched from the 1962 novel One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. In addition to the similarity in their names, both are nurses in asylums who inflict cruel "treatments" on the patients.
